Project: Ginkgo / Private Residence
Size: 446 sq ft
Location: Kingswood Villas , Tin Shui Wai
Completion Date: Feb 2025
The area is 446 sq.ft. The unit originally had a diamond-shaped living room so it was not practical enough.
The house is occupied by a newly-wed couple who love nature and value the taste of life. The design team used a fresh pastoral French style, with rich textured wood and white tones as the main colors to create a comfortable and fresh atmosphere.
In order to reduce the irregularity of the Diamond Hall, a curved TV cabinet is used in the living room to reduce the edges and corners of the space, making the space softer and more flowing, increasing the lighting in the hall, and creating a design highlight for the space.
The homeowner and his wife really like the atmosphere of the cafe, so we specially designed a booth in the dining room, which matches the round ceiling with an artistic chandelier hanging on it, showing a delicate and elegant taste for life. It also becomes a small corner for the couple to gather and chat after getting home from get off work.
The booth is a design that combines the functions of a sofa and a dining chair, making good use of odd spaces such as walls and corners, and also adding storage functions inside the seat.
The color scheme of the master bedroom is consistent with that of the living and dining room, with soft beige paired with light wood color. The natural light from the window brings a fresh and comfortable atmosphere to the space, and a platform bed is set up to create more storage space. The other guest room is now used as a study and cloakroom. The original window sill next to it has been converted into a multifunctional desk and bookshelf, which can be used by the owner to work from home or as a dressing table, meeting the owner’s work and daily life needs.
The kitchen cabinet body is made of teak-colored wood, and the door panels exquisite lines are perfectly integrated with marble elements.
While providing storage, it can also increase the kitchen transparency and aesthetics, creating an extremely warm and stylish kitchen space.
